International Showcase in Santiago de los Caballeros (March 19-22)

NCAA Division I coaches in Santiago de los Caballeros (March 19–22): live player evaluations, recruiting sessions, and family education workshops included.

From March 19-22, Santiago de los Caballeros becomes the meeting point between Caribbean talent and U.S. college soccer. This International Showcase is designed to deliver what most players and families want but rarely get locally: live evaluation by U.S. college coaches, inside a professionally organized competitive environment.

Why This Showcase Is a Big Deal for the North Region

For years, many Dominican and Caribbean players have had the level, athleticism, and competitive edge to play in the U.S., but lacked a direct bridge to university programs. Bringing NCAA Division I programs into Santiago matters because Division I is the NCAA's highest division, with the most visible level of competition and access to athletics aid structures that differ from Division II and III.

Confirmed Universities and Leagues Attending

The showcase brings together university coaches across multiple associations — which is exactly what increases real opportunity: you are not only being seen by one "type" of program.

What Players and Families Will Gain Beyond Exposure

This showcase is not only about being watched. It is built to help families understand what happens after a coach says, "We like him."

Education topics included

  • How recruiting decisions are made (and what coaches evaluate in live settings)
  • Academic requirements and planning
  • Eligibility pathways in the U.S. college system
  • Scholarship reality and long-term strategy

NCAA note: For families targeting NCAA Division I or II, the NCAA requires registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center.

NJCAA note: Scholarship rules differ by division — Division I may include room and board; Division II is limited to tuition/books/fees; Division III cannot offer athletic scholarships.

How to Prepare to Maximize Your Chances

A showcase helps most when you show up prepared like a recruit, not just like a player.

Bring and have ready

  • A short player resume (position, height/weight, DOB, club, key stats)
  • Academic snapshot (transcript/grades and English level)
  • Video link (highlights plus at least one longer game segment)
  • Your target list (NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA interest, level fit)

NCAA Eligibility Center: If your goal is NCAA Division I or II, create your account as early as possible. Required before a D1 official visit and competing at D1 or D2. web3.ncaa.org/ecwr3
